Bio: |
Julie B. is a modern day MacGyver and creator of sculptures miniature to oversize. She started toy prototyping in Brooklyn, NY, and was drawn to the art and designer toy scene in Los Angeles where she founded Pretty In Plastic Inc. Over five years strong, Pretty In Plastic works closely with established artists to create their visions in 3D, and is a leading expert in toy couture, limited edition art multiples, and unlimited fabrication. The fully equipped workshop features the latest in prototyping technology and fabrication equipment, a dedicated team, and girls in neon jumpsuits wielding power tools. As an artist, the unknown world of the ocean and the creatures of the deep amaze Julie, and she spends her rare free time leading whale watching tours, scuba diving, break-dancing, rollerblading, and making pizza!
